Trout & Salmon Charters - Manistique , Lake Michigan

Manistique Fishing Charters , Lake Michigantwo small words certain to catch the attention of a steelhead and salmon fisherman.

Now that I’ve got your attention I would like to tell you about the salmon and steelhead fishing in Manistique , Lake Michigan. To fish and catch a salmon or steelhead is truly a memorable experience while fishing in Manistique and Lake Michigan.. These fish exude a grace and beauty, yet require your knowledge, stamina , and determination to actually land them. Once you experience the excitement and thrill of the catch of a steelhead or salmon you’ll be forever “hooked.”

Port of Manistique offers a mixed “bag” of fish. A bonus to fishing the Port of Manistique is that you can catch a total of 5 fish, but not more than 3 of one species (salmon or trout). It is not uncommom to catch both trout and salmon in one fishing trip. I start fishing steelhead in mid June. The ” King salmon” move in shortly thereafter and are fished until mid September. I also fish out of the port of Escanaba, fishing the Ford River Can Area in

the Bay of Green Bay for salmon. . And if you don’t mind a “little” boat ride to get to the salmon, we can go to St. Martins, Gull, Poverty, or Summer Island which is located in Lake Michigan near the city of Fairport, Michigan. . The “catch” is worth the “ride”. Last but not least , the Cedar River also offers excellent fishing for salmon and trout in the Bay of Green Bay.. Fishing site (Manistique, Lake Michigan, Bay of Green Bay) will be determined by the captain, according to time, weather, and fishing report while taking into consideration what you desire. We go where the fish are !
